We want to thank all of the staff and volunteers who gave up their time to clear Hope Corner School's new allotment. This space on the local community allotments has recently been allocated to our school and we are looking forward to using this as an outdoor classroom.
Students will take part in developing the plot by growing various fruit, vegetables and flowers, maintaining the space and installing new equipment. There will also be opportunities for taking all kinds of subjects and lessons outside. We already have great interest from members of the community and local groups who want to support us in developing this.
As can be seen from the pictures, a lot of work had to go into making the space safe for our students to begin to work at the allotment, this would not have been possible without the hard work of the group of staff and volunteers. Hope Corner School is extremely thankful on behalf of all of our students who will benefit so greatly.
