Noughts and Crosses

26 Sep 2019

With the start of a new academic year, Hope Corner School has begun group reading sessions every Thursday morning. Students looked through a range of books, fiction and non-fiction, and discussed what seemed interesting about them.

The chosen book for this term's group reading is Noughts and Crosses, by Malorie Blackman. Here's what a few of the students have said about the book so far, just a few chapters in:

"It's good because it's different, it flips racism so black people are like white people."

"I really like it. The part where they go to school is good because it's interesting."

"I like the characters in it and that we can know what both main characters are thinking."
